My name is Maurice, and I am the founder of “Moe To Life” Fitness, where I serve as a Certified Personal Trainer. My mission is to help others become the best version of themselves, both physically and mentally. My journey into fitness was fueled by a deep desire to take on a role in healthcare and a longing to be the person I once needed—someone who could provide the knowledge and guidance to navigate the often challenging path to self-improvement.
Growing up, I was active in football, which kept me pretty fit throughout high school. However, I often heard comments attributing my physique to a “high metabolism,” which I used as an excuse for not reaching my goals. Despite my love for the game of football and desire to play at the college level, I watched as my peers advanced physically while I struggled to see progress. I eventually quit football, and during the COVID-19 pandemic, I took a hard look in the mirror and reflected on the negative feedback I had received over the years—things like “You’re too skinny” and “Getting bigger isn’t in your genetics.”
In May of 2021, I made a pivotal decision to get my first gym membership. At first, I struggled with consistency, feeling uncomfortable and out of place in the gym environment. However, I realized that I was the only person responsible for my own progress. I started holding myself accountable, showing up for myself, and embracing the journey of self-discovery. Through consistent effort and a commitment to bettering myself every day, I transformed not only my body but also my mindset.
My personal transformation ignited a passion for fitness that continues to grow. At “Moe To Life” Fitness, I focus on holistic well-being, emphasizing that fitness is about more than just physical appearance—it’s about enhancing the overall quality of life. I utilize methods such as hypertrophy and strength training, progressive overload, and personalized nutrition advice to help my clients achieve their goals. I believe that everyone has the potential to change, as long as they believe in themselves and are willing to put in the work.
Today, I am proud to help others embark on their fitness journeys, guiding them toward healthier lifestyles and lasting transformations. My approach is grounded in the belief that fitness is a personal journey, and I strive to empower my clients to show up for themselves every day! I am dedicated to continually learning and evolving so that I can offer the best possible support to those I work with.
